Brandon Jacobs

Brandon Jacobs has quite an appetite and that can hunger can longer be fed in the Big Apple.  It has resorted to him recently calling out the fans and demanding to be removed from the team at the conclusion of the season.  I think the organization does not mind disgruntled players, but it certainly will not bring him back next season.  While, he has probably lost a step and a half over the last couple of years, he still has some good football ahead of him. Two teams that could use his brutal running style and where he would probably get more carries are the Pittsburgh Steelers or Tennessee Titans.

Brandon Jacobs On Pittsburgh Steelers
The Pittsburgh Steelers have long established themselves as one of the most physical teams in the NFL and big Brandon Jacobs would be a perfect combination with Rashard Mendenhall.  The two running backs would certainly wear defenses down over four quarters.  One of the best assets that Jacobs has is that he is an expert at blitz pick up and protecting quarterbacks. With all of the emotion and passion that he plays the game with he would quickly be welcomed and embraced by Steelers’ fans.  The Steelers would most likely become a top 3 rushing team in the league with his presence.  While, he certainly would help the Steelers, he would have even a bigger impact on the Tennessee Titans.

Brandon Jacobs On Tennessee Titans
The Titans have historically run the ball quite a bit and new offensive coordinator Chris Palmer is still trying to establish the identity of the team this season.  Chris Johnson unfortunately has regressed some, but the team would get back to their physical nature if Brandon Jacobs was added to the team.  The team could use another leader on offense and that is what he is all about.  The Titans would most likely become a top ten rushing offense with his presence.

Brandon Jacobs Going Forward
All things must come to an end and it is kind of sad that Tiki Barber and Brandon Jacobs are leaving the New York Giants on such negative terms, but that is the business of football. Hopefully, he will keep his trademark intensity as I think his future football will be in the AFC conference. In the meantime he needs to find a way to stay professional for the rest of the season and then he will get his chance to get more carries and finish his career off with plenty of success.
