NCAA Basketball:Georgetown Coach John Thompson III On Heat Seat
Even though the Hoyas won 74-65 over Rutgers on Saturday January, 15,...
No “Miracle at the Meadowlands” this year. That is the theme this week for the New York Giants and Eli Manning. The Giants are currently 6-3 this season solidly in control of the NFC East division with just seven game remaining in the regular season.
They will not need a lot of motivation to be ready to play this week as a desperate Philadelphia Eagles’ squad comes to town this week looking to upset the Giants. After the infamous 31-10 collapse last season that kept the team out of the playoffs, the team has circled this game on their calendars and should play inspired this week.
Since 31 points was not enough last year, rest assured, Manning who is becoming a bigger superstar will try to really pour it own to make sure the team secures an important victory this week. This game is important for the psyche of the team and a blowout victory or at least a double digit victory would go a long way towards helping the wounds heal from last season.
I expect the team to be bouncing around and fired up for this game. If the team were smart, they would all get undershirts that read No “Miracle at the Meadowlands” this year because this is a must win game, that should give the team some momentum to not only win the NFC East division, but possibly reach the Superbowl, if they win.
