JaMarcus Russell was in the news last month of his intention about making a comeback to the NFL. Many speculated, that Russell was going through financial problems like other athletes, cough…cough…T0. However, those intentions maybe on hold. Russell was able to complete the sale of his mansion … and just in time to avoid losing it at auction! Not exactly a WIN!
JaMarcus sold the Bay area home at the end of September, and the guy who bought it says he paid just over a million bucks. Back in 2007, when JaMarcus was a hot shot rookie — with a $60 million contract — he paid $2.4 million for the pad. Who says you can’t lose money on real estate.
The million bucks should keep Russell’s comeback at bay. That is, until his baby’s mamas come after him.
The Raiders should feel a lot better…they’re not the only ones who lost.
