Mike Krzyzewski

Either he’s really, really old or just one damn fine coach. Winning is all that matters at Duke University when it comes to basketball and now that Mike Krzyzewski has picked his 903rd win in Division 1 basketball, he will be remembered as arguably the greatest college coach ever.

He does not win a national title every season, but it sure seems like he is always close, lets take a look at his top 3 coaching seasons, since he has become the leader of the program.

1985-1986, Duke Basketball, 37-3
This team was led by the legend Johnny Dawkins and seemed to have tremendous chemistry on the floor. They won the ACC title and just came up little short after a tough loss in the national championship game to the Louisville Cardinals, 72-69.

1998-1999, Duke Basketball, 37-2
This team was led by the great Danny Ferry who always seemed to find a way to inspire his teammates. They were dominant this season, won the ACC title and just barely lost in the national championship game to the Connecticut Huskies, 77-74.

2000-2001, Duke Basketball, 35-4
This team was led by the warrior Shane Battier who did whatever the team needed on defense and offense every game. They did not win the ACC title outright, but they did peak at the right time of the season and win the third national title in program history against Arizona, 82-72.

Coach K Going Forward
The only thing left for Mike Krzyzewski to do now is to win more national titles, possibly coach a team to an undefeated season, and continue to prove to the world that he is one damn fine coach.
