Deron Williams: Crying, Whining, and Hurting Avery Johnson
It seems effortless how easy Deron Williams is capable of going for 20 points and 10 assists a game; however, there is the other side of him that has led to some of the criticism that at times he can be a diva. It does not help that he became a superstar in Texas, where everything is supposed to be bigger, better, and tougher. For some reason this point guard never received the message.
In Williams latest episode of complaining, he recently stated, “We need some more pieces. There’s no secret about that. There’s not many starters on our team right now. We have a lot of great role players, a lot of guys who know their job, but in this league you need some top-tier guys so you can get the job done.”
These comments certainly won’t help Avery Johnson who desperately needs more leadership and a floor general who can execute his schemes each game. I guess in the mean time fans of the Nets can get excited about the move to Brooklyn.
