When two high-profile superstars like Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook argue and potentially fight, it is natural to assume that a trade must happen. However, this is one situation where that should not happen as the anger and tension between the two has helped them lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 4-0 record.
Winning really does cure all and the two players demand a lot of accountability between one another, which is never a bad thing. To give you idea of the Durantula’s assessment of the tension, he recently stated, “We’re going to disagree sometimes, like I’ve always been saying. But I’m behind him 110 percent, and he’s the same way with me. And you seen when we came on the floor we clicked and everything started to work from there.”
It could be a problem in the long-term, but in the short-term Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook should at least stay together for a couple more seasons to see if they can win a Larry O’Brien Trophy together.
