NCAA Basketball:Georgetown Coach John Thompson III On Heat Seat

Matt Barkley’s decision to return to USC for his senior season was a surprise to many, but really the move makes quite a bit of sense. He was so tired of being compared to and defined by Andrew Luck that coming back to school is a great move which will allow him to possibly win the Heisman Trophy, compete for a national championship, and further carve out of his own legacy.
When you watch both Barkley and Luck on film they look very similar and display many great intangibles specifically leadership. To give you an idea of the mind state of the great Trojan quarterback, he recently stated, “I am staying so I can finish what I started. I think looking at the team that we have there is that chance. We’re on the rise and like I said in my (opening) statements, I feel like there is unfinished business.”
It is always great to have a veteran quarterback running the show and hopefully this is just the move that will attract more recruits and lead the team to having an excellent season next year.
