NCAA Basketball:Georgetown Coach John Thompson III On Heat Seat
Even though the Hoyas won 74-65 over Rutgers on Saturday January, 15,...
After successfully guaranteeing a victory against the Green Bay Packers, Brandon Jacobs tried a different tactic this week for the upcoming NFC championship game by promising to deliver pain and plenty of powerful runs against the San Francisco 49ers’ defense.
Commenting on the intensity and how he will approach this contest, Jacobs recently stated, “I really don’t care how physical they are. It’s going to be a football game. They’re a physical bunch; we’re a physical bunch. We’re going to be out there playing ball. I’m not afraid of them, I’m not afraid of anybody on their team, I’m not afraid of anybody in their organization. I’m ready to play football.”
I guess after seeing Donte Whitner knock Pierre Thomas out last week, Jacobs wanted to send a message that he does not plan on suffering the same fate this week. You have to love the intensity with a trip to the Superbowl on the line. It will be interesting to see what happens. Game on!
