Danny Granger Disses Danny Ainge and Boston Celtics

Jason Terry already called the Boston Celtics slow and old.  Danny Granger quickly followed up those same sentiments, when he recently stated, “One thing you can’t battle, you can’t fight, is age. They all are Hall-of-Famers, but you get to a point where age catches up with you and it’s hard to compete at the level you once competed at. I don’t know if they’re there yet.”

It is a recurrent theme where teams around the NBA are taking verbal shots at the Boston Celtics because the window has closed for the original “Big 3″ to win another title together. It really does not help to have possibly the slowest player on the C’s right now Jermaine O’Neal talking about how he is going to silence all his critics, when all he has done is add more critics with his declining performance this season.

Things don’t look good for the C’s who are off to a slow 4-7 start in a compressed 66 game regular season.  Doc Rivers clearly has no answers. The one thing that is clear is that Danny Ainge has a lot of work to do to overhaul this organization in the off-season.
