Jason Terry and the Dallas Mavericks should be receiving there championship rings very soon, actually, Wednesday to be exact before the Mavericks play Minnesota.

However, Terry will be receiving two rings. No, not one for each hand.

Terry will be raffling off the second ring to benefit his foundation, which is taking the girls’ team that he coaches to China this summer.

“We need to raise some funds,” Terry said after practice Tuesday. “I think that’ll be a great way. And it’ll give a fan a unique experience that they would never have. It’ll be a duplicate Terry ring for some lucky fan.”

Terry coaches the Lady Jets, who lost in the national championship game for their age group last summer.

“It’s a symbol of what we accomplished,” he said. “It’s going to be special. We’ve only seen a brief design of it. Once you get it, see it, touch it, hold it. It’s probably like a baby. I got four of those. That’s probably what it’s like.”

Terry said the raffle will cost $10 per ticket and anybody is eligible to try their luck. The entries will be available for about a month on JasonTerryFoundation.org after Terry receives the duplicate ring. He added that he’ll release more information via Twitter and Facebook.
