NCAA Basketball:Georgetown Coach John Thompson III On Heat Seat

When, Phil Jackson retired a year ago, the world knew that the Zen master needed a small hiatus to recharge his batteries, before he would catch that coaching itch once again. Now with his energy back and being refocused, it seems like he might choose to coach the Miami Heat, New York Knicks, or he might even rejoin the Los Angeles Lakers in the future.
No one really knows for sure, but the Lake show makes a lot of sense for a few reasons. The first is he could help Kobe Bryant get that 6th championship ring or even 7th championship ring, which would help Black Mamba become arguably the greatest player in the history of the game.
Next, he knows how to push the right buttons on Andrew Bynum, so that the superstar center could become the top center in the game.
Finally, he just commands so much more respect than Mike Brown ever will at Staples Center.
Commenting on the possibility on Phil Jackson’s return, the gorgeous Jeanie Buss recently stated, “It really is a miracle. It’s one of those things that because of Phil’s schedule he wasn’t able to take the time to get the surgery and do the rehab. Now he’s done it, and I do think he has his energy back.
This is great news for fans of purple and gold around the world!
