Floyd Mayweather running scared of Andre Ward

Andreward

Many fans of boxing have been clamoring to see a mega boxing match between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao because of the contrast of styles, but it is pretty clear that “Money” has far too great a reach advantage to be in serious jeopardy of losing that fight.  However, Andre Ward is a fighter who boxing purists understand is certainly capable of putting a blemish on the record of “Money May.”

While, Chad Dawson could certainly end up beating AW in September, the Bay Area ”Son Of God” has all the tools necessary to beat FM inside the squared circle. Ward can talk the talk, has the boxing smarts, hunger, toughness, length, quickness and is just reaching his prime at 28.

The truth is Floyd Mayweather (43-0) sees far too much of himself in Andre Ward (25-0) to take this fight because he knows deep down he would likely lose.  It is just another unfortunate example of  boxing not giving fans what they would really like to see, which is “Money May” lose a boxing match.

What would b the diffrence maywether fought the late coralas and he was taller

    • Lewis Dawson

Why is it fair that most of Mayweather’s opponents he has the reach advantage? Ward would meet him at a catchweight.

I guess Ward being a super middleweight fighting at 168 and Floyd never fighting above 154, doesn’t mean anything. I can’t believe I wasted 2 minutes reading this garbage! Mission accomplished author!

  • tell like it is

    floyd is a coward,

Are you kidding me Andre Ward Fights at Super Middleweight. Floyd can’t even make the weight at Junior Middle Weight. Dumbest article I have ever read! Get a new hobby buddy!

Why is it fair that most of Mayweather’s opponents he has the reach advantage? Ward would gladly meet him at a catchweight.

This is not a fight that would ever happen. The weights aren’t close enough to pull it off. A little research would have served you well.

Why is it fair that most of Mayweather’s opponents he has the reach advantage? Ward would meet him at a catchweight. My research shows Sugar Ray Leonard put himself in front of a dangerous Marvin Hagler. It is boxing baby, risk is involved.

What a load of shit, do you know anything about boxing? C”Mon man.

Lets see, Emmanuel Augustus is not a Hall of Fame fighter, yet Mayweather claims this was his toughest opponent. That dismisses a lot of opponents as non-threats. Reach advantage for “Money” in every matchup. You can’t call yourself the best and never push yourself to the limit. I reserve comment on your level of boxing knowledge.
