When Brett Favre chose to not properly groom and mentor Aaron Rodgers to become the next starting quarterback of the Green Bay Packers, he not only created a controversy, but he broke an unwritten contract that is supposed to exist between a current starting quarterback and an heir apparent future starting quarterback in the nfl. Although, Number 4 will always be a hero to many fans because of his willingness to play through numerous injuries, his boyish enthusiasm on the field, and overall competitive nature; there is something special to be said about the way Number 12 confidently stepped into the spotlight ever since becoming the starting quarterback in 2008.

The contentious relationship between the two men has often been discussed by analysts and led to the question being asked by many of who will be remembered as the better starting quarterback for arguably the most prestigious franchise in football? It is a passionate issue that has forced many fans to not only take sides, but it is even rumored to have even started a bar room brawl or two. Maybe, two thousand, but who’s counting.

While nothing will ever be more important to Packer Country than Vince Lombardi or the Lambeau Leap, there is something special about being crowned the greatest player in franchise history for the green and gold. Regardless of which quarterback you side with, it is time to grill up a brat, add cheese, and beer, while letting the visual evidence speak for itself. Enjoy the show!

Neither one is the king! The measure of success is winning the Super Bowl. The nod goes to Bart Starr. He was also named Super Bowl MVP X 2. A Rod X 1 and Brent F. X 0…so one man’s opinion is Starr #1, ARod #2 and Brent #3.

It’s sad …but a fact…for us all. Father Time wins. Favre will be viewed by many in a comparison of him at the very end of his career with a man 14 years his junior. Rodgers is at the peak time of his career right now. Comparing them both, at their peaks, to me …..Favre was the more dynamic inspiring leader…hands down.
