USC’s Matt Barkley seeking perfection

After his team dropped from the top spot to No. 2 in both polls, Matt Barkley is neither bothered  or motivated by the rankings.

The USC quarterback said,  ”I don’t care about it. It doesn’t motivate me. A ranking doesn’t motivate me. I think being perfect is what motivates us.”

USC dropped to No. 2 after Alabama’s convincing win over Michigan, which garnered them 45 first-place votes in the AP poll, up 28 from last week, and 37 first-place votes in the USA Today coaches’ poll.

The confident quarterback and his team will need to be prefect to beat this Alabama team should they meet in the BCS Championship game. Only time will tell if the Trojans’ and Co. can find perfection.
