A-Rod sits game 4 of ALCS

For the third time this postseason, A-Rod will be sitting the pine when the Yankees face the Detroit Tigers in an elimination game of American League Championship series. This time Curtis Granderson will be joining him.
In place of Rodriguez, Girardi is starting Eric Chavez. In the playoffs, Chavez is 0 for 14. Rodriguez is 3 for 23, including 0 for 18 with 12 strikeouts against right-handers.
Interesting move, especially with the struggling Rodriguez having three more hits than Chavez.
Maybe with all the distractions, it’s better to bench the former all-star.
